Hi guys, it's been forever since I have made a post as I have been ridiculously busy and have had so much homework its not even funny! Besides that, today I am showing you how I made these amazing chocolate granola bars and they are super good for you as the only bad thing in this would be the dark chocolate and thats not even that bad! These bars are great for a morning or afternoon snack or to share with your friends and family. So lets get to it!

These Granola bars are so good for you as they contain heaps on nuts, seeds and berries! This will get your protein up as well as your vitamin A. The dried oats are especially good for you as dried oats help with your cholesterol levels, your heart and your blood sugar levels. And just to make you want to make it even more the dark chocolate I used is 98% cocoa so its super healthy and contains only natural sugars! Lets get baking!
Prep time : 10 Minutes
Cook time: 20 minutes
Total time : 30 minutes
Ingredients:
~ 3 cups of your choice of dried oats (I used Uncle Toby's)
~ 2 table spoons of brown sugar
~ 1/4 cup of honey
~ 1 teaspoon of vanilla
~ 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
~ 2 tablespoons of oil ( I used olive oil)
~ Half a cup of dried cranberries
~ Half a cup of walnuts, almonds and raisins
~ 1/3 cup of your choice of seeds (I used sunflower seeds)
~ 1 cup of dark chocolate ( I used Lindt chocolate)
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven at 180 degrees celsius and scatter your oats onto a 9 x 13 pan or a brownie pan. Let your oats toast for around 15 minutes turning them at 10 minutes. They will be golden when they are done.
2. Line a 9 x 9 pan with baking paper. You want the baking paper to be big so you can lift the bars out of the tin once they're finished in the fridge.
3. While the oats are in the oven heat the oil in a small saucepan on the stove. Add brown sugar, honey, vanilla and cinnamon. Bring to simmer over medium heat and stir until brown sugar is dissolved.
4. Put your oats into a large bowl. Pour your liquid ingredients over the oats and stir until evenly covered. Stir in all your berries, nuts and seeds. Scrape into your prepared pan.
5. Let the granola bars set in the fridge for at least an hour. They will set faster if you put them in the freezer for around 30 to 40 minutes.

This is what your slice should look like before it goes into the fridge.
6. Once finished lift your granola bars out of the tin and place onto a chopping board. Evenly cut your slice into either bar size or slice size pieces. I cut mine more into a slice size as I wanted a few more so I could eat them for school.
7. Once you have cut your pieces, melt your dark chocolate in the microwave for around 70 seconds stirring around 2 to 3 times in between. Once melted, using a flat butter knife coat the bottom half of your bars with the chocolate. Since the bars are cold the chocolate will set super quick so you better do it fast. When you have coated all your bars/ slices drizzle some of the left over chocolate on the top of the bars/ slices this makes them look extra delicious.
8. Place your slices/ bars on a pretty plate and serve them to your friends and family but remember to save one for yourself as they are irresistible!

I really hope you guys enjoyed my post and try this recipe out as it is amazing! Thank you so much for reading and I will see you guys next week!
