Hello guys,
Todays blog is all about my travelling experiences, where i have been and my tips and tricks on how to travel wisely. I will also include some of my personal experiences with having anxiety while travelling. So lets begin. P.S sorry guys this was posted today and not yesterday I've been suer duper busy these holidays.

My first overseas trip was back in 2012-2013. My family and I flew across to America! We were there for around 3 weeks and we travelled to Los angeles, Las Vegas, San Diego and Mexico. It was such an amazing trip and we did heaps of stuff like flew into the Grand Canyon, went to Hollywood and of course went to Disney Land and got to see the amazing new years fireworks. i also got a chance to go over to Mexico. It was so cool to experience a different culture and try some amazing Mexican food. This picture was taken in Cars land at Disney Land. Unfortunately my camera went flat when we went on the actual Route 66. Bummer!

This picture was taken on the main strip in Las Vegas. I like to use this picture and say i went to Paris even though I was in America. Most people have realised as it is a lot smaller then the real one! But i can dream.

My next overseas trip was in 2014 on the 20th of September in Hawaii. Now if you have read my first blog post you may realise that this date is the day before my birthday! Yes we set of flying to Hawaii the day before my birthday and i was so excited! But unfortunately i had a terrible panic attack on the way there and i did not enjoy the 10 hours flying. As we were taking off from Melbourne my body had worked itself up and right when i got onto the plane i lost it. My body was shaking, i was screaming "i want to get off!!!!" and i was telling myself to stop but i couldn't. I will get more into that later. So we finally got off the plane and i was kissing the ground thanking god...... joking i was just happy we were here. My phone was buzzing with birthday messages and because of the time zones it wasn't my birthday In Hawaii so I pretty much got 2 birthdays. Yippee! The next day was a dream, i had the best birthday ever! We went snorkelling at Hanama Bay and went shopping.... again. It was so amazing and i would dream to go back. We did heaps more amazing stuff while in Hawaii like climbing Diamond Head Mountain, flying over Oahu and doing a road trip around Oahu visiting places like Lanikai which has the most beautiful beach in the world. We also took a tour of Pearl Harbour and learned about what happened on December 7th 1941. This trip to Hawaii would definitely have to be my favourite as the beach is like my second home. If you have been to Hawaii please tell me your experiences and what you did. :)

Now I'm going to give you some of my useful tips and tricks on how to travel wisely. Firstly, always pack less when going to a country that the clothes and goods are cheaper. I made this mistake when I went to America the first time and I had to buy a whole other suitcase because I bought to many things and didn't wear the things I took over. Another tip is when packing your clothes put your shoes at the bottom of the suitcase as this saves heaps of space, I always like to roll my clothes because it saves space, saves creasing and its a lot easier to pack that way. You can also buy day pouches that i used in Hawaii, its like a ziplock bag for your clothes. I organise each day into these bags, it saves so much time as you don't have to look for what to wear. So thats some of my tips when travelling wisely. I will sure post more tips and tricks about travelling in the future.

Now I'm going to get into detail about my anxiety and how to calm it down when travelling. So my anxiety starts just before I am about to get onto a plane and i know i cannot walk back now. Another stage when my anxiety starts is take off, this is when my panic attacks begin as well as when the plane has minor or extreme turbulence. A way i calm myself down is think of how much fun the holiday will be and listen to music to distract myself. I always for some reason lift my legs up to lose the feeling of turbulence and walk around when the seat belt sign is off as this makes your brain think you are just walking around on the 'ground'. If you are flying with your family or a partner ask them to distract you by talking about random stuff. My friend did this when we were flying back to Melbourne and i didn't have a panic attack as i was distracted by what she was saying.
Thats all I have for today, be sure to read my next blog post coming up on Sunday and give me some ideas on what I should post next. Thank you. ;)
